How good is your video card? Is it man enough for the higher resolution, probably 1900X1200 to take full advantage of the 24" Samsung?
Yes m8, a radeon HD4850 toxic, but seeing as I'm running Windows 7 was going to upgrade to a DX11 card anyways (eventually).
Looks like there isn't that much FPS difference between 1600 and 1900 resolutions, about 10% reduction?
Good point tho Zimmy, thx.

I nearly got a 24" and glad I didn't . I liked my brothers and wanted hte same... I thought he had a 24", but just as I was about to order it he pointed out to me that he infact had a 22" and 24" is massive if you are up close (as in gaming). So I reordered a 22" and it still seems massive to me !
it all depends on your viewing distance .. could be difficult to scan if you are up close and gaiming .... grat if you use it over 1 metre away from your face though.
This guy recommends you sit the otherend of the room ...lol LINKY
He is talking about watching a TV though.
but 2-3 feet seems to be the norm and you then lose anything outside of a 30 degree viewing angle ... Which means if you are too close to a 24" screen you will lose the edges from your normal viewing and be at a disadvantage in gaming

I use 22' for gaming also on a narrow desk and that is big enough.I have a 24' on an other desk which is 800mm deep and is perfect for 24'.So a nice distance from the screen is needed to also prevent eye fatigue and strain.
That is a fantastic price for a 24' monitor though and 2ms response time is ideal for gaming.
I would like point out that this is a TN panel and difficult to calibrate for accurate colours if you print or view a lot of digital photographic images. If you do need consistant accuracy in the colour and black levels, you should maybe be looking for S-PVA/MVA which are middle of the road LCD panels. They offer better color reproduction and wider viewing angles than TN panels, but have slower response times.
S-IPS/H-IPS panels are generally considered the best overall LCD technology for image quality, color accuracy and viewing angles, but this comes at a price.
If this is not an issue Marky, then this does look like a great offer up for grabs, just make sure you do have enough distance from the screen(or you might fall in it).

Good point Rich, thats why I was holding back. The field of vision will be too narrow to see them pesky blighters trying to knife you in the back....so suppose I'll still undecided...
