So another mmorpg hits the keyboards, yup Star Trek Online.
Played Star wars galaxys or freelancer ? Think of them and thats what the game is like.
Currently still in Beta (open)
Have played it for a few hours now and my verdict despite the beta bugs .......... not bad but I doubt if it will reduce the ranks of World of Warcraft.
Space combat it much better than SWG much smoother graphics and lovely explosions etc. Create your own fleet, train your own bridge crew. Land and space missions to do. Improve your starship / crew with loots or rewards. List goes on but seems i'm off COD yet again for a bit lol. Ahh well once a trekkie always a trekkie eh!!

trekkie / trekker both same m8 :)
A Trekkie (or Trekker ) is a fan of all or part of the Star Trek fictional universe. In 1967, science fiction editor Arthur W. Saha applied the term "trekkies" when he saw a few fans of the first season of Star Trek wearing pointy ears at the 25th World Science Fiction Convention

If you've played Freelancer its almost similar to that.
Like most MMO's you got your healers (science class) Tanks (cruisers) dps (escorts) Have your own crew for away teams/bridge crew where you can gear them up, improve their skills as well as sorting yourself out. Still some naggin bugs atm but no doubt they'll sooon get fixed. If you like doing things solo to get into the swing of things the away missions can be very easy as you can select your away team from your own crew.
